Position Summary
The Employee Benefits Producer is an experienced health insurance agent holding an active Florida Life & Health Insurance license, with targeted expertise and experience in employee benefits in our target market of under 50 employees. The Employee Benefits Producer will report to the President of the Agency. Experience with PEO's is a plus but is not required. This position is responsible for promoting and executing on the sale of new and renewal business, providing and being a source of insurance expertise to customers and assisting in the growth and profitability of the agency. The experienced Producer will collaborate with the other teammates as necessary to meet prospective and existing customer needs.
The Employee Benefits Producer will be managing operational tasks, objectives and milestones. The Employee Benefits Producer will drive initiatives that foster revenue growth including leading initiatives in 2025 for alternative benefit sales both to the current client base and new clients. The Employee Benefits Producer will have responsibilities related to PEO sponsored group benefit sales, including training the sales personnel on statements of process for benefit PEO sponsored benefit sales and providing comparative services to PEO clients.
Compensation
Base salary range for this unique position starts at $90,000.00, with unlimited upside on commissions on placements of allowable insurance products, plus bonuses for exceeding sales goals. Our commission structure includes sliding scale residuals on certain insurance products you place and PEO referrals from agency business. Equity in our insurance agency may be awarded for high performers.

Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Achieve annualized new sales goals in our target market of 10-50 employees.
- Interpret, analyze, negotiate and offer recommendations on coverage based on individual customer needs.
- Work Closely with personnel regarding placement of new and renewal business.
- Establish direct customer contact with key accounts and prospects.
- Brokering client sponsored Group Health Products.
- Brokering Individual Health Policies.
- Placement (with third party vendors or otherwise) of Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangements ("ICHRA") and similar arrangements for individual level placements.
- Benefits / Market Trends.
- Build client and prospect pipeline.
- Develop cross-selling strategies for existing clients.
- Innovate for clients using market knowledge and advanced understanding of technical insurance issues.
- Work with clients on Benefit Implementation Rules & Timelines - Develop Strong relationships with sales personnel
- Maintain and further develop a specialty in a declared sector or market area by networking and participating in professional development activities
- Keep abreast of developments in the marketplace, including product offerings and changing insurance consumer trends and needs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of insurance experience, with targeted experience and expertise in group and individual health plans and other employee benefit plans.
- Effective Presentation Skills.
- Excellent Communicator, both verbal and written, with internal departments and external clients.
- Effective Time Management skills.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Be self-driven / motivated.
- The ability to - Prioritize & complete multiple tasks while delivering successful results - Articulate and impart his/her knowledge within an assigned sales region - Develop strong working relationships
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's level degree preferred but not required.
- Minimum 5-7 years' experience in insurance, with experience in employee benefits.
- Florida 2-15 license a MUST.
